Catholic group hosts Mass on the Grass Friday

The Bama Catholic Student Ministry held “Mass on the Grass” Friday, April 14 on the University of Alabama’s Quad. 

 Those who attended had a chance to sing hymns, read scripture and experience fellowship. The sweet sounds of hymns filled the campus of the University of Alabama Friday afternoon. 

“This is important just to get on campus and be a presence. Let students and everyone else know about the merciful love of God and everything that he has to offer you in your life,” said Matthew Dejean, member of St. Francis Catholic Parish. 

The group hosting the mass was from St. Francis Catholic Parish. This is the first time they have held “Mass on the Grass” at the Quad on campus.

Dejean hopes the group will be able to host “Mass on the Grass” more often.
