CAPITOL SCHOOL STUDENTS BIKE TO TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM

Students ages 7 to 9 from the Capitol School took a unique field trip via bicycle this morning.

They were escorted from Capitol Park to Tuscaloosa’s Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum by Tuscaloosa Police’s motorcycle unit. The field trip was designed to teach students all about transportation.

“I just love riding my bike out,” said Capitol School student August Hopston. “This is an opportunity to get some exercise and do some fun stuff out here as well.”

After their visit to the Transportation Museum, students held a tea party at the Tuscaloosa Public Library.
