Beyond the big bows and pom poms, the Paul W. Bryant High School cheerleaders are a team of athletes that want to win.  The girls are headed to Nationals in Orlando for the second time under the leadership of coach Erica Thompson, who is only in her third year of coaching this team.

“They put in a lot of hard work, a lot of effort, a lot of determination on their part, and I’m just so proud of them,” Thompson said.

The Bryant cheerleaders placed first in regionals last weekend to secure their spot in Orlando.

The team heads to Disney World in Orlando for the competition in February.
