BRENT MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING WIFE AND SON
A Bibb County man is behind bars after authorities say he opened fire on two of his family members.
According to Brent Police Chief Terry Nichols, Randy Leverette Sr. shot his wife and son at their home on Dogwood Lane in Brent around 12:30 Wednesday morning.
Leverette face two counts of attempted murder charges.
His wife was transported to DCH, and his son was taken to UAB.
All three lived together in the residence where the shooting happened.
“”He’s always been a nice guy,” says Phillip Marsh Sr., a neighbor of Leverette. ” I come over and talk to him often and he just seems like an outstanding person and it’s a tragedy. I hate to see it happen in his family.”
Leverette is being held in the Bibb County Jail on a $120,000 bond.
