BREAKING NEWS: WATFORD COMMITS TO LSU OVER ALABAMA
The highest rated prospect in the state of Alabama committed to LSU on Monday afternoon. 5-star forward Trendon Watford from Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham will continue his basketball career in Baton Rouge.
Watford chose LSU over Indiana, Memphis and Alabama.
The 6-foot-9, 230-pound power forward was the No. 17 overall recruit in the class of 2019. Watford is the third player to commit to the Tiger’s 2019 class, joining 3-star prospects James Bishop and Charles Manning.
Although Watford reportedly grew up an Alabama fan, newly hired head coach Nate Oats didn’t have much time to recruit him to join the Crimson Tide.
