BOY SCOUTS HOST BLOOD DRIVE IN TUSCALOOSA
“Be prepared” is the Boy Scout motto. However, blood supplies are not ready for the summer travel season, which typically brings more need. In an effort to boost dangerously low supplies, Scout volunteers are trying to recruit donors.
Thursday, the Black Warrior Council of Boy Scouts of America sponsored a blood drive at Leroy Activity Center in Tuscaloosa. Coordinators like Finn Robinson urged the community to step up and help those who need donor blood.
“It’s really important because honestly if someone needs blood, they can get some from here, or they bring it to the hospital,” Robinson said. “We have to be prepared.”
