Ivory Dynasty

Another dynasty has made its home in Tuscaloosa, but this one is Ivory instead of Crimson.

The <a href=”” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Ivory Dynasty</a>, a boutique hotel with eight individual University of Alabama-themed rooms is now on Greensboro Avenue near the intersection with Jack Warner Parkway. The hotel hosted a ribbon-cutting Thursday in celebration of its opening.

Owner Barden Smedberg said he’s offering an experience visitors can’t get from bigger hotels.

“It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience,” he said. “Every room is an experience that celebrates the sweet home Alabama and the Univeristy of Alabama.”

In addition, patrons won’t have to brave a check-in line because the hotel is entirely self-service. Room prices start at $99 a night.

The Ivory Dynasty is the second hotel of its brand, with the original opening eight years ago in Eutaw, but they are excited to be expanding to T-Town.
