Boppy Company recalls several baby lounger products
A major recall is under way for three versions of a baby pillow from The Boppy Company.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, eight infants died from suffocation between December 2015 and June 2020.
In total, the recall covers roughly 3.3 million baby loungers including the Boppy Original Newborn Lounger, Boppy Preferred Newborn Lounger and Pottery Barn Kids Boppy Newborn Lounger.
Infants can suffocate in the lounger if they find themselves in a position that obstructs breathing or roll off the lounger onto another surface that obstructs breathing.
The devices were sold between January 2004 and September 2021.
Consumers should stop using the device immediately and reach out to The Boppy Company for a refund. If you own one of the devices, you can start the refund process right here.
