BOEING REPORTS NO NEW ORDERS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY

Boeing

For the second month in a row, Boeing is reporting no new orders for their commercial aircrafts.

Boeing’s orders have been at a standstill since the grounding of the 737 Max after two deadly crashes. The company also has a massive backorder of around 5,000 planes, which is likely a contributing factor to the lack of new orders. Many of its customers are not in need of additional jets right now.

A year ago, Boeing had 43 new orders and 21 of those were for the 737 Max. It also delivered 68 jets last May, compared to just 30 this year.
