BODY IN RIVER IDENTIFIED

The body found floating in the Black Warrior River this weekend has been identified as 24 year-old Beau Miles.

He had been listed as a missing person since June 29. His body was discovered by a golfer who hit a ball off course at the Tuscaloosa Country Club.
Authorities were able to positively identify miles by physical markings they were unaware of. Lt. Kip Hart with Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit says the condition of Miles’ body led investigators to initially identify him as a white male.

The investigation is still ongoing. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
