BLENZ FOOD TRUCK RAISING MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

A local food truck that operates on the University of Alabama campus is raising money for breast cancer awareness month.

Blenz Bowls is selling a pink bowl special, which consists of toppings of your choice and pitaya, which gives the bowl its pink vibrant color.

The truck is donating 25% of the proceeds for every bowl will to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Fund.

Will Shoemaker, an employee with Blenz Bowls, said they want to be able to use their service as more than just food in the community.

“Our owners are former UA graduates, and they always had a heart from the beginning, to point out things that are important to them, and to be a voice in the community,” Shoemaker said.

Other students said these bowls are not only delicious but are going towards a great cause and want to spread the word.

“I am going to post it on social media and tell all my friends, so they can get involved and help people eat healthy and spread awareness about what is going on,” said Alabama student Jay Brannon.

The Blenz food truck can be found around the University of Alabama campus Monday through Friday. Find the food truck schedule right here.
