Fans from all over the country were in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama vs. LSU match up this past Saturday.

That meant businesses around town, but especially those on the Strip near the University of Alabama campus, saw massive crowds.

Some businesses opened a little earlier than usual to prepare their staff for the large crowds.

“We always planned ahead probably one to two weeks ahead because it was such a really big game,” said Buffalo Phil’s General Manager Christian Pierce. “We opened up at 9, and right when we opened we were full.”

Some businesses were catering to fans of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in addition to the Tide, and the first family received a warm welcome inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“We had to open up just a little earlier than usual to welcome all the guests that were coming in town,” said Expressions employee Tyler Garcia. “We actually had a fan favorite shirt that said ‘Roll Trump Roll.’ ”
