BICYCLIST SUFFERING LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES AFTER HIT-AND-RUN

A bicyclist is suffering from life-threatening injuries after being hit by a black SUV that fled the scene.

It happened Friday around 11:45 p.m. near the intersection of Hargrove Road and Avalon Avenue.

A witness said a black SUV struck the bicyclist from behind, and left the scene, traveling eastbound on Hargrove Road.

The bicyclist was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
