BIBB COUNTY SHERIFF FOUND DEAD THIS MORNING

Bibb County Sheriff Keith Hannah was found dead this morning at the sheriff’s office, Bibb County deputies say.

Authorities said he died of a gunshot wound, but no foul play is suspected.

Hannah served at the sheriff’s department for nearly 30 years, and was serving his fourth term as sheriff.

Former Centreville Mayor Mike Hobson and friend of Hannah was at the sheriff’s office this morning, remembering a man he said was larger than life.

“There will never be another Keith Hannah,” he said.

The State Bureau of Investigation is handling the case.

Hannah’s body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy.
