Students, teachers and staff returned to their schools in the Bibb County School District this week with faces OK to display.

School officials did not extend the district’s mask mandate beyond the first nine weeks, which ended Friday, Oct. 8.

The system still encourages mask-wearing inside school buildings to curb the spread of COVID-19 and the flu.

Masks are still required on school buses, per a federal mandate.
