Bevill State Receives 10 More Years Of Accreditation
By WVUA 23 Contributor Micah Ward
Thanks to the work of the faculty, staff and administration at Bevill State Community College, the college’s accreditation standards have been reaffirmed for the next 10 years.
Dr. Kim Ennis, president of Bevill State, explains how important reaffirmation is for the college.
“This demonstrates that the Bevill State faculty, staff, and administration are dedicated to providing students with the highest quality education possible,” said Ennis.
“Reaffirmation signifies BSCC meets, or exceeds national standards… which helps qualify the institution for federal funds, including scholarships and grants.”
She also said federal grants are important for building the programs at BSCC.
“If you’re not accredited and you’re not sound academically you won’t have those opportunities… it’s just so important.”
