BEN JONES HOSTS FOOTBALL CAMP FOR BIBB COUNTY YOUTH
Tennessee Titans center and Bibb County native Ben Jones hosted a football camp for kids between 8-14 years of age at Bibb County High School on Friday.
Jones has found success in the NFL after a strong career at the University of Georgia. While the Dawgs and Crimson Tide have had a rivalry on the field in recent years, Jones and current Titans teammate Derrick Henry have gotten along well.
“Great teammate. Really good dude. He works extremely hard,” Jones said. It’s a pleasure being his teammate. You know what you’re going to get from him every day. He’s one of the hardest working guys on the team. And blocking for him for the past three years…it makes my job easy when you have a guy like that in the backfield.”
Tennessee Titans long snapper Beau Brinkley and offensive tackle David Quessenberry helped his teammate with the camp, teaching kids important blocking skills. The Titans players are excited for the upcoming NFL season.
“Am I excited? Yeah, I’m ready to roll. I’m ready to rock,” Brinkley said. I’m excited. It’s gonna be fun. It’s gonna be a fun year.”
