BEN CARSON TO MAKE ALABAMA CAMPAIGN STOP THIS MONTH

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is scheduled to visit Alabama for a rally and a fundraiser.

Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill said in a release Friday that Carson is scheduled to speak at a free rally at the University of South Alabama in Mobile from 4 to 5 on Nov. 19. Merrill says the event will be followed by a fundraiser.

Merrill says nine presidential candidates have visited Alabama ahead of the March 1 southeastern regional primary. Southern states have banded together in the so-called “SEC Primary” to try drawing more interest from presidential contenders.

Merrill says Carson also visited Pike Road for a luncheon in August.
