BAR OWNERS AND CITY LEADERS MEET TO DISCUSS STIFF PENALTIES FOR OVERCROWDING

After complaints from the Fire Marshals regarding overcrowding at Tuscaloosa bars, the city is ready to do something about it.

Monday, city leaders met with local bar owners about the issue.

The city discussed implementing a city wide fire code.

This will mean bars being shut down for up to three days for repeat violators.

The Tuscaloosa City Council will vote Tuesday to adopt the new fire code.
