ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY IN ETHELSVILLE
WVUA 23’s Jack Royer was the first on the scene to an attempted bank robbery in Pickens County this morning.
A black male walked in to the Ethelsville branch of the West Alabama Bank this morning around 9am and demanded cash.
He did not use a weapon, and no money changed hands. The suspect then left the bank on foot and headed westbound down Highway 30 towards Mississippi.
Pickens County Sheriff’s Deputies were on the scene until 12:30pm when the bank was closed and employees were sent home.
