Lauren Brooke might be little, but she’s got a big voice and she’s looking to share it with Tuscaloosa and beyond.

Lauren, 12, said she’s always had a passion for music, so when her school held a talent show, she decided to give singing a try.

“After that it opened my eyes that I really wanted to sing,” she said. “So we put me in vocal lessons and everything kinda took off from there.”.

Lauren is already making a splash in Nashville, performing at iconic venues such as the Blue Bird Café. But one of her most exciting moments came when she sung at BB King’s Blues Club and Manuel’s during Country Music Awards Fest Week. In fact, Lauren is the youngest perform to perform at BB King’s.

“It was a dream come true,” she said. “Because two years ago I was like, I wish I could do that, then two years later I’m on stage doing that,”

Mother Kim Smith said she couldn’t be prouder of her rising star.

“She’s come a long way in the last three years, and she’s just developed into an artist,” she said.

But for this energetic singer, nothing beats the feeling of sharing her music with the world.

“I grew up listening to music, and soaking all the lyrics in and so to be able to purse that is just been really cool,” Lauren said.
