ANNUAL BOOK SALE KICKS OFF ON ALABAMA CAMPUS

The University of Alabama’s School of Library and Information Sciences Annual Children’s and Young Adult Book Sale begins today.

The book sale will be held in the Gorgas Library on UA’s campus. Thousands of new young adult and children’s books will be on sale with free books also being offered.

“These are all brand new books,” said Dr. Jamie Naidoo, an associate professor at the University of Alabama. “Most of these have never been read and they’re all the books from 2015 and 2016.  We are selling them really cheap and the proceeds go to literacy outreach programs for local public libraries”

Sales of the books will go towards supporting the outreach of libraries.

“It’s a win win, it’s a good cause and you’re saving money too, so perfect,” Naidoo said.
