ANIMAL ABUSE RALLY IN TUSCALOOSA

A video that was posted online of a cat being beaten with a belt has caused a lot of commotion.

The video shows a man holding a cat by the neck and hitting it several times. Tuscaloosa Police want you to know, they’ve heard from concerned viewers and their investigation is still ongoing.

WVUA 23 spoke with Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson and he says they would like to question Brandon White.

AVRAL member Leah Olszewski says the group, along with many others are taking a stand Monday with a rally. The rally will be held Monday in front of Tuscaloosa City Hall at 11 a.m. in hopes to encourage animal protection laws.
