ALEA INVESTIGATES OFFICER INVOVLED SHOOTING
UPDATE:
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Phillip Hugh Jacks, 47, of Oxford has been apprehended. He was arrested early this morning by Anniston Police department.
ORIGINAL POST:
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating an officer involved shooting in Munford, Alabama. The investigation comes at the request of the Talladega County District Attorney.
The incident began just before noon in the parking lot of a Jack’s restaurant.
Phillip Hugh Jacks, 47, of Oxford fled in a pickup truck and crashed on Priebes Mill Road, four miles north of Munford. Jacks fled the scene on foot into a wooded area.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Aviation Unit assisted in the search for Jacks who has not been located at this time. There were no reported injuries to the officer or suspects.
The pickup was reported stolen out of Gulf Shores and Jacks had an outstanding felony warrant. Nothing further is available at this time.
