ALEA DRIVER LICENSE DATA BASE PROBLEM CAUSING ISSUES

For the second day in a row The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Driver License Division is not issuing driver licenses and non-driver IDs because of a software update causing database issues.

ALEA officials said the update happened over the weekend, and the vendor is working on the problem. ALEA hopes they’ll have the system up and running as soon as possible.

All ALEA Driver License Examining Offices, probate and license commissioners office and online services are affected by the problem.
