Alabama’s Hidden History, Feb. 6, 2022: Jerry Carter

WVUA 23 and the Murphy African-American Museum honor Jerry Edward Carter Sr.

Carter is a former aircraft mechanic and served as a medical administrative specialist in the U.S. Air Force. Now retired, Carter remains committed to his volunteer work, and also serves on the Mayor’s Committee for Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization.

Carter is a member of the NAACP, where he served as present of the Tuscaloosa chapter for 10 years.

MISTER CARTER IS A MEMBER OF THE N- DOUBLE-A C-P WHERE HE SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE TUSCALOOSA CHAPTER FOR 10-YEARS.
