ALABAMA’S BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: LEARNING ABOUT ALABAMA’S POLITICAL HISTORY

Sharon Shelton with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute stopped by the studio to talk about their upcoming events.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) will be hosting a lecture about Alabama’s political history. John Archibald, a columnist for AL.com and the Birmingham News, will be speaking at the event.

The event will be held at the Hoover Public Library on Jan. 30 from 1-3 p.m. and is free to the public.

OLLI will be holding similar free events throughout the year as part of the Alabama Bicentennial Celebration and the Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Celebration. For more information, visit olli.ua.edu/public-events.
