ALABAMA WOMEN’S WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL EARNS WIN TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED
It didn’t take long before Alabama was in its element.
The Crimson Tide beat Music City 70-44 to improve to 9-0 on the year. And, like that, Alabama looks the part of defending national champions.
It was Alabama’s most lopsided game of the year.
The Crimson Tide started fast with Arinn Young, Kate Lang and Rosie Lalonde all contributing on both sides of the ball. Throughout the first half, all three recorded three-point plays earning trips to the foul line.
Alabama went on runs of 12-0, 14-2 and 27-7.
Sarah Maynard, like she has done throughout her career at Alabama, did the dirty work, the effort that doesn’t show up in the stat sheets but still attracts the opponents’ attention.
Alabama was fast, physical and aggressive.
The Crimson Tide had three players in double figures with Young, Lang and Lalonde.
