ALABAMA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM PULLS OFF FIRST VICTORY IN KNOXVILLE

Thursday night, the University of Alabama Women’s basketball team faced off against Tennessee looking for their fourth win in a row and first ever in Knoxville.

Going into the game Tennessee led the overall series with Alabama 49-5. After a tense game, the Crimson Tide won 72-63.

“This has never happened,” said head coach Kristy Curry on SEC Network. ” I kept telling them the law of percentages is going to take over tonight, let’s get this. It’s going to be the 23rd try by the University of Alabama, this group, our senior class has done so many first this is just one more to add to the list.”

The win improved the team’s record for the season to 16-10. Curry said the team’s goal is to make the NCAA Tournament and continue winning throughout the season.
