ALABAMA WOMAN WHO WENT MISSING DIED OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say an Alabama woman whose body was found in a shallow grave died of an accidental drug overdose.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says in a news release that 29-year-old Paighton Houston of Trussville suffered from morphine and methamphetamine toxicity.
Houston was last seen Dec. 20 leaving a Birmingham bar with two men. Family members told news outlets she later sent a text to a friend saying she didn’t know who she was with and felt “in trouble.”
Houston’s body was found buried outside a house on Jan. 3. A man is charged with corpse abuse.
