Alabama Softball Vs. Georgia Tech 021

After a deep run in the 2019 postseason, Alabama softball has its sights set on returning to the College World Series in 2020. The addition of a talented transfer could help the Crimson Tide achieve that goal.

Two-time All-PAC 12 outfielder Alexis Mack will be joining Alabama’s roster for the upcoming season.

“We are very excited to add Alexis to our 2020 roster,” Alabama coach Patrick Murphy said in a press release. “She will provide tremendous experience to our team next spring. Team 24 could be one of the fastest in our history.”

After beginning her career at South Carolina, Mack transferred to Oregon where she batted .395 in two seasons and earned All-Region honors both years. Mack led the Ducks with a .424 batting average in 2017 and led the PAC-12 with 28 stolen bases. Mack started all 62 games for Oregon in 2018, batting .369 and stealing 24 bases.

Mack sat out the 2019 season to complete her undergraduate degree.

Mack could help fill the void left in the outfield by graduating senior Merris Schroder.

Mack will join rising seniors Bailey Hemphill, Elissa Brown, Sarah Cornell, Krystal Goodman, Taylor Clark and Claire Jenkins on Alabama’s roster.
