ALABAMA SOFTBALL ADDS FRESHMAN TO ROSTER FOR SPRING SEMESTER

Alabama softball head coach Patrick Murphey announced the addition of freshman outfielder Mary Greg Anderson to the team for the 2020 season.

“We are pleased to have Mary Greg Anderson join us this spring,” Murphy said in a press release. “She is going to provide depth in the outfield and speed on the base paths. She’s an outstanding young lady with a family history of Alabama graduates.”

The Athens, Ala. native was a four-time All-Area outfielder at Athens High School, guiding the team to the regional tournament all four seasons. She led the team in batting average each season and twice earned All-State honors. Anderson was a three-time offensive MVP and took home defensive MVP accolades as a senior.

She played club softball with Firecrackers Alabama 2000 Ingram, where she won the 16u ASA National Championship in 2017 and, playing with Colorado Bombers 16u Valdez in 2018, won the Colorado Sparkler tournament.
