Alabama seeking honorary grand marshals for homecoming
The University of Alabama already has one grand marshal for its homecoming events, but it’s looking for another.
Former Alabama football player Rashad Johnson was named this year’s grand marshal, but the school is looking for honorary grand marshals from the health care community.
They’re looking for an alumnus who has exemplified the spirit of the University of Alabama throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The person selected will participate in the Oct. 22 pep rally and will receive VIP seating. During game day on Oct. 23, the honorary grand marshal will be in the homecoming parade, acknowledged on the alumni quad stage and will receive complimentary tickets to the National Alumni Association Tailgate, along with a pair of tickets to the football game between Alabama and Tennessee. They will also be recognized at halftime.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, Oct. 10, at 5 p.m. If you have someone you’d like to nominate, click right here.
