ALABAMA ROWING HEADS HOME EARLY FROM CLEMSON INVITATIONAL

Rowing

Due to inclement weather, No. 20 Alabama rowing had to head home early after the cancellation of the 2019 Clemson Invitational.

The event was supposed to be Friday and Saturday but ended up being a heat-to-final race on Saturday. With storms in the surrounding area throughout the day, all races were cancelled for Friday.

The teams arrived at the racecourse Saturday morning with the First Varsity 8+ crews and Second Varsity 8+ crews racing before the event was cancelled again due to debris and high winds on the course. After a brief 30-minute delay, the Invite was cancelled, and the results from the 1V8+ and 2V8+ races would not count.

Alabama is back on the road next week to face the SMU Mustangs Saturday, April 27. It is the last regular season race for the Crimson Tide before the Big 12 Conference Championships, May 18-19.
