University of Alabama Police Department Capt. Chad Stephens has graduated from the FBI National Academy.

Stephens has been in Quantico, Virginia, for the past 10 weeks, undergoing intensive law enforcement training where his physical and mental strengths were put to the test.

This training includes physical fitness training and practical application exercises. Some academic testing at the academy includes investigative subjects, interviewing, intelligence techniques, and more.

Stephens also completed the National Academy’s Yellow Brick Road, which is a grueling final test of the fitness challenge.

This challenge consists of a 6.1-mile run through a trail that was built by U.S. Marines.

Students who complete the National Academy’s Yellow Brick Road are awarded with a physical yellow brick to memorialize their achievement.
