ALABAMA OFFENSIVE LINE NOMINATED FOR JOE MOORE AWARD

The Alabama offensive line has been nominated as one of four finalists for the Joe Moore Award, the Foundation for Teamwork announced Tuesday. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top offensive line.

This season, the offensive line has only given up 12 sacks in 381 pass attempts, which ranks fifth nationally in fewest sacks allowed per game. The offensive line has led the Crimson Tide to rank second in scoring, third in passing and seventh in total offense.

Joe Moore, who the award is named after, is widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football history. It is also the only award to honor an offensive unit.

Alabama previously won the award in 2015 and the winner of the 2019 award will be announced in late December.
