ALABAMA NETS FIRST COMMITMENT FOR 2022 RECRUITING CLASS

Alabama football got its first commitment in the 2022 recruiting class. Jeremiah Alexander tweeted on Monday that he would be joining the Tide.

Alexander is a 6-foot-2, 222-pound defensive end from Thompson High School in Alabaster. He led the Warriors to a 21-1 record last season and the 2019 AHSAA Class 7A State Championship.

Alexander is a four-star prospect and the ninth ranked overall player in the 247Sports rankings for 2022.  He is the top ranked player in the state of Alabama and number two ranked defensive player in the nation.

Alexander committed early, but said that Alabama felt like home. He chose the Tide over high profile schools, like Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Nebraska.
