Alabama men’s hoops facing 13th-ranked LSU Wednesday

The Alabama Crimson Tide are currently riding a three-game losing streak and have fallen out of the latest Top 25 AP poll. The Tide will look to break out of this mid-season slump Wednesday night at Coleman Coliseum against the 13th-ranked LSU Tigers.
After Alabama dropped a third consecutive loss Saturday to conference foe Mississippi State 78-76 in Starkville. The Crimson Tide’s struggles continued Saturday after shooting 8/29 from the perimeter. Despite the Tide’s poor performance from deep, they had a successful day from the free-throw line shooting 24/28.
Alabama has dropped out of the Top 25, posting an 11-6 record with a 2-3 record in SEC play.
The success LSU has had this season is set to make this game a must-win for the Tide, especially to save them from their recent slump and gain momentum for when they have to play the talented Baylor Bears Jan. 29.
LSU will come into the matchup fresh off their second loss of the season after losing at home to Arkansas 65-58. The Tigers struggled late only putting up 2 points in the final 9 minutes of the contest.
LSU head coach Will Wade has turned the Tigers around defensively as the Tigers are the best defensive team in the SEC, allowing only 57 points per game. The Tigers will look to neutralize the high-scoring offense of Alabama.
Look for Wednesday night’s matchup to be a great one with a hungry Alabama team looking for a much-needed win as well as an LSU team looking to bounce back from an upset loss Saturday. Sure will be an SEC thriller.
You can catch the game at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
