ALABAMA LOSES STARTING DEFENSIVE LINEMAN TO INJURY
One of Alabama’s starting defensive lineman reaggravated a foot injury and now has a potential long-term recovery time.
Preseason All-SEC defensive end LaBryan Ray left Saturday’s game against South Carolina with a foot/ankle injury.
It’s the latest significant injury for the Crimson Tide. Alabama has lost freshman running back Trey Sanders and inside linebackers Dylan Moses and Josh McMillon to season-ending injuries during fall camp. Two freshmen, Christian Harris and Shane Lee were both starting in place of the two players.
Ray underwent surgery over the summer and missed a little time during fall camp due to an ankle/foot injury. Ray totaled seven tackles in Alabama’s first two games and had two early tackles against South Carolina before exiting the game.
Freshman Justin Eboigbe is listed as Ray’s backup on the Tide depth chart.
