Northridge High School standout Wilkin Formby is staying home to play for the Crimson Tide. The local four-star offensive tackle is the fifth commit for Alabama in the 2023 recruiting class.

The Northridge product has the prototypical frame for a Division 1 offensive tackle at 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds. Formby is the No. 10 offensive tackle in the nation, according to 247 sports.

“It’s a great program with a great history of developing lineman,” said Formby.

Formby displays the athletic ability to be a standout with Alabama. He has long arms, good footwork, and possesses the ability to be the next great tackle for the Crimson Tide.

His final four schools were Alabama, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee, but the promise of staying local and working under head coach Nick Saban was too great to skip.

Formby joins the 2023 recruiting class that already includes quarterback Eli Holstein, cornerback Jahlil Hurley, safety Elliot Washington and edge rusher Yhonzae Pierre.
