ALABAMA INCUMBENTS RETAIN U.S. HOUSE, SENATE SEATS

Incumbent Representatives and Senators from Alabama won big on Tuesday, with many retaining their seats in the United States House and Senate.
- Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Rodgers (District 3) won a seventh term in Congress, defeating Democratic challenger Jesse Smith.
- Republican U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (District 5) defeated Democrat Will Boyd, Jr. to win a fourth term in Congress.
- Republican U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (District 6) won his first re-election by beating Democrat David Putnam.
- U.S. Rep. Martha Roby (District 2) defeated Democrat Nathan Mathis to win her fourth term in Congress.
- Republican U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby has been elected to his sixth term.
