Alabama heads to first round of basketball tourney
The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is back and fans everywhere lined up to watch their favorite teams play.
The top ranked Crimson Tide matched with Texas A&M- Corpus Christi at Legacy Arena, just down the road in Birmingham for the first round.
Local fans picked the Tide to defeat the Islanders Thursday.
“I think we are going to beat Texas A&M, 76 to 50,” said Alabama fan Natalie Scott.
This year the 2023 SEC Champs were named first seed in the NCAA tournament and expected by many to go all the way to the Final Four.
“I believe it’s gonna be Alabama and Purdue and, then Houston and UCLA. It’s going to be a rematch again with Alabama and Houston, Roll Tide,” said basketball fan Davin Avery.
