University of Alabama men’s basketball guard Nimari Burnett has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

It’s the second time Burnett, a junior, has entered the transfer portal.

He began his college career at Texas Tech before transferring to Alabama following his freshman year.

Burnett is the first Crimson Tide player to enter the portal this offseason.

He had a limited season because of a nagging wrist injury, but appeared in 25 games this season and started in eight.

Averaging 14 minutes a game, he had 5.5 points a game and had a 35% field goal percentage.

Former Crimson Tide assistant coach and now-head coach at Arkansas State Bryan Hodgson was the main recruiter for Burnett coming out of high school.

Because this is his second time entering the portal, Burnett will have to sit-out next season unless he graduates in the spring or summer.
