The Alabama Department of Corrections found that three staff members tested positive for COVID-19.  Two of these staff members worked at the Criminal Justice Center in Montgomery while the third staff member worked at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore.  All three staff members are currently self-quarantining.

The ADOC’s Office of Health Services is investigating whether ADOC’s employees and inmates have been exposed to the three staff members.  The OHS will recommend those who have been exposed to self-quarantine.

There are currently 76 active COVID-19 cases within staff.

An inmate at Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore has also contracted COVID-19.  The ADOC is upholding all quarantine protocols at this facility.

The active COVID-19 caseload among the ADOC’s inmate population totals 60 cases.
