Alabama officials are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were dumped on someone else’s property over the weekend.

The victims were discovered in a shed in Hale County’s Sawyerville, and investigators said they believe the couple was shot dead Friday.

Hale County District Attorney Michael Jackson identified the victims as Devyn Sterling and Shalondria Grey-Chavers. Both were 24.

Investigators said the couple was reported missing by their families.

“The family was concerned, wondering what was going on,” Jackson said. “It’s a small area, a small community, so law enforcement got involved and at some point they got the right tip and were able to locate the bodies.”

The shed was not associated with the victims, Jackson said, and it’s believed the suspects’ motive was robbery.

Jackson said two 16-year-olds, Jaligha Brantley and Daquaviin Wynn, are facing capital murder charges, and two others are charged with hindering prosecution.

Jackson said more charges may be coming.
