Alabama brings back Get on Board Day
By WVUA 23 News Reporter Erin Patterson and Carlie Horn
The University of Alabama held the largest Get on Board Day for their students since the pandemic began back in March.
This event allows students to actively get involved on campus and engage with the 600 student organizations.
UA freshman Trent Gilles said the event is a great way to learn more about the university.
“There’s a lot of great clubs out there that I think people could get involved with and learn new stuff, meet new people, and just overall have a great fun time,” Gilles said.
UA sophomore Alia Smith said she is more excited to get involved on campus.
“It’s been different because last year I was mostly in my dorm all the time, just taking classes and we hardly saw anybody,” Smith said. “The only people you would really see were the people coming in and out of your building and your roommates since COVID put us inside last year; I need to get out more.”
