ALABAMA BASKETBALL LANDS 3 BIG RECRUITS

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team has signed all three of its commitments to national letters of intent.

The Tide signed Alex Reese out of Pelham High School. The 6 feet, 9 inch tall, 225 pound forward earned all-state honors last season, averaging 25.4 points, 20.9 rebounds, and one block per game. Reese is the No. 3 rated prospect in the state and No. 86 overall prospect in the country, according to 247Sports.

From Clinton, Mississippi, Alabama also signed 6 feet, 10 inch center Galin Smith. Smith is Mississippi’s No. 2 prospect and the top center in the state, according to 247Sports. Smith averaged 21.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.1 blocks and 1.5 assists per game as a junior at Clinton High School. Smith chose Alabama over LSU, UAB, Southern Methodist and Tulane.

Alabama also signed Herb Jones, the No. 34 shooting guard and the No. 143 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports. The Hale County star can shoot from beyond the arch and drive the basket. His shot blocking ability also makes him an excellent defender.

Alabama is still going after the 5-star John Petty from Huntsville, Alabama, and Collin Sexton from Mableton, Georgia.
