Alabama baseball welcomes No. 9 Arkansas to Sewell-Thomas Stadium this weekend for the Crimson Tide’s SEC home-opening series.

After Alabama defeated Maine 16-0 Tuesday night, the Crimson Tide improved its record to 18-4 on the season and has also won its last 10 games at home. Arkansas has also had a strong start to the season going 18-3. The Razorbacks are coming off a midweek series split with No. 9 Texas on the road. The Razorbacks are led by veteran group that was just one out away from winning the College World Series

“Playing a great Arkansas team ranked in the top ten in all the polls,” coach Brad Bohannon said. “You know this is a group that was an out away from winning a national championship last year and they have a lot of key returning pieces back from that club.”

First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
