ALABAMA BASEBALL FINISHES WEEKEND WITH A WIN

Alabama baseball finished the weekend 2-1 to claim the weekend series over Ball State. The Crimson Tide improves to 5-2 on the season.

On Friday, Alabama beat Ball State 7-1, and on Saturday the Crimson Tide lost 5-8 to the Cardinals.

Capping off the weekend with a 6-0 win on Sunday, the Crimson Tide used three pitchers to do so. Freshman Connor Shamblin, junior Casey Cobb, and graduate transfer Jeremy Randolph. Alabama had 11 hits, including a season-high four doubles in its winning efforts. The Crimson Tide got off to a fast start, scoring one run in the first on back-to-back two-out doubles by junior Morgan McCullough and senior Kieth Holcombe.

Alabama scored again in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

The Crimson Tide returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 25 against North Alabama in a two-game series. The first game is set for 6 p.m. tomorrow followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday.
