ALABAMA AUTHORITIES LOOKING FOR ESCAPED INMATE CONVICTED OF ARSON
DEATSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say an Alabama inmate convicted of setting a Tallassee store on fire escaped from a detention center.
The Alabama Department of Corrections announced 24-year-old Dylan Keith Carroll escaped from the Frank Lee Youth Detention Center in Deatsville around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Court records show Carroll was 17 in November 2009 when he stole items including clothes, a checkbook and jewelry from the Tallassee store. He then used gas to set fire to the store.
He was sentenced on Aug 4, 2015, to serve 13 years for second-degree arson.
Anyone who sees him or who knows where he is is asked to call local law enforcement or the Alabama Department of Corrections.
